It used to be that you had to go to the video store to get a movie. Now, with internet usage exploding, movie downloads are becoming very popular. Below is a sample of some of the movies you can find using movie download sites.
Trading Mom: It's about three siblings who couldn't stand their mom. Spacek cast a spell which makes her, and all memory of her vanish. This is a flat and inanimate story with meager production values. Cast includes Sissy Spacek, Anna Chlumsky, Aaron Michael Metchik, Asher Metchik, Maureen Stapleton, and Merritt Yohnka. (82 minutes,'94)
The Daring Dobermans: The film offers friendly family viewing as the canines are prepared for a different challenging heist by a new team of crooks. Cast includes Charles Knox Robinson, Tim Considine, David Moses, Claudio Martinez, and Joan Caulfield. (90 minutes,'73)
Saw: Two men are trapped in a room. Both men are chained to their half of the room. A story unfolds as these two people are given clues and information about the situation they are in and why. Can they solve the puzzle and get out alive?
Bugles in the Afternoon: Simple story of guy branded a coward (MilIand) throughout the Civil War, with a Little Bighorn finale. Cast includes Ray Milland, Forrest Tucker, George Reeves, Helena Carter, and Gertrude Michael. (85 minutes,'52)
Dangerous Liaisons: Set in the 1760's, a wager has been made. Cecile de Volanges, a virtuous woman, is soon to be married. The Marquise de Merteuil bets an ex-lover, Viconte de Valmont, that he can't seduce her before the wedding day. Who will win the ugly little bet?
Lunch Wagon Girls: Ball turns investigator in this melodrama and confronts weird characters and harrowing experiences while tracking a killer. This film is excellent, with a top cast. Cast includes Lucille Ball, Charles Coburn, Alan Mowbray, Cedric Hardwicke, Boris Karloff, and George Zucco. (95 minutes,'68)
The Defiant: A preoccupying tale of 2 escaped convicts, one black and one white who are chained together as they escape from prison in the South. Fine performances by Williams and Chaney as individuals they meet during the voyage. Academy Prize for screenplay by Harold Jacob Smith and Nathan E. Cast includes Tony Curtis, Sidney Poitier, Theodore Bike, Charles McGraw, Carnie Williams, and Lon Chaney, Jr. (97 minutes,'58)
Pack Up Your Troubles: Daffy two-some are followed throughout WW1 after some Army shenanigans they try to pinpoint family members of late friends' daughter. This is a fun movie. Cast includes George Marshall, Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Mary Carr, Grady Sutton, and Billy Gilbert. (68 minutes,'32)
Payday: Acerbic, vibrant picture of life on the concert trail with a cocky, selfish country and western music megastar, a jerk who calls on his supervisor to "fix" some complications that crop up during the concert tour. One of those prototypical early1970s films that makes modern American movie theater come across bland. Cast includes Rip Torn, Anna Capri, Cliff Emmich, and Michael C. Gwynne. (103 minutes,'73)
Remember, be creative and use phrases like "Movie Rental Software". Not all searches get the right result. If the first one fails to work out try another one. See if "Download DVD Movie" gets a better result.
